Screws onto the end of a tap and lights the water itself, with the color following the temperature — blue when it runs cold, green as it warms, red when it is hot, and a flashing red once it gets hotter still. Check before you buy

It fits a standard round tap spout. Taps with a pull-out spray head or a square or oversized spout may not take it.
